Ok, so I have started looking for curriculum for next year already. I think I have it narrowed done now. I may not be able to go to the conference due to M may be at work, so I am going to go ahead and order. I did a lot of research on what type of learner C is and what e will need to learn better. I do know now he needs colors, pictures, and lots of movement. Here is what I am looking at right now but could change.
Math ~ Math U See (Gamma)
Science ~ Considering God's Creation
History ~ Finding a New Land
Language Arts ~ Explode the Code 7 &8 (Going to get this teacher book free on paperbackswap.com.)
Spelling ~ Vocabulary Cartoons
Bible ~ Frogs in Pharaoh's Bed (thanks Michelle) Got this one free on paperbackswap.com.
Reading/Math Comprehension ~ Dianne Crafts flash cards for math and book for phonics help.
Anyone know any pros or cons on these I am looking at please let me know. I have not ordered many of them yet.
Crazy day today. Headed to town to get a few things and get the boys a hair cut. Started that way and hit sleet then snow. Boy coming home was fun b/c the road were really bad. Praise the Lord we made it home safe. Then not long after I got home I got word my dad was not doing so well. Dad is now stable. He has not had a heart attack but does have congestive heart failure. They see no blood clots around his heart, so will run more test tomorrow. I hope everyone has had a blessed weekend. I am going to try and get some rest now.
Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it. Prov. 22:6
Those all look good. I have the Considering God's Creation Student Book (So you can have it.) You still need to get the TM.
ReplyDeleteI also have a Multiplication tables book we should be done with soon.http://www.multiplication.com/order.htm
I will be selling it for $10.00
I have loved using CLP history books in the past too!
ETC teacher books really aren't necessary. I would take a free one, but not pay for one. I had one and never used it.
