Today was our first day of school. Nathaniel and Keegan were so excited. I have heard about it all week. We got up had some breakfast and picked up the living areas before we started anything. Then we got dressed and were ready to start our day. Today we did a simple day steeping into something new. We did morning first day of school pictures.
Nathaniel and he is so happy

Keegan boy was not in the mood for pictures this morning.

There is my Corey boy

Took my several pictures before I got this one with everyone looking at the camera.
We started with our morning prayer and Bible study. The boys learned about John 1. We then moved into a study on seasons. They watched some videos and learned the difference in them. So now Nathaniel calls summer water time and Winter snow time. lol He is to funny. After we learned the difference in the seasons and who had a birthday in each season we went for a nature walk. The boys found all kinds of leaves to come home and play with.

We had a lot of fun on our nature walk. We then came home and did scribbles of our leaves. The little ones thought it was neat.

LONG TIME

I realized tonight that it has been a LONG time since I updated our blog. I am super sorry, but we stay so busy and I update facebook b/c it is quicker and I can do it form my phone. Anyways, I will start back to the beginning of this summer.  Right before the boys the got out of school me, Corey, Nathaniel, and Keegan all took a 2 week road trip. We went to Louisiana and spent some time with daddy, went to Alabama to see my brother that I had not seen in 3 1/2 years, and stopped by Texas to see my parents and aunts and uncles. It was wonderful being able to in a car and take off. Since July our lives have revolved around the hospital and being trapped in our home.

When we got back from our trip Brittany told me she was ready to move out. So, I had to go through the Mother thoughts, feelings, and emotions of a child moving out. I sat and thought back to things I did with her and if I taught her things she needed for life. I really started racking my brain. It is amazing how something like that , a part of life, and it makes you question so much.

In July me, hubby, and the 5 boys were blessed with the opportunity to make a trip to Florida. On the way to Florida we went through Tennessee to visit my sis in law and her family.  We had not seen them in 3 1/2 years either, so it was wonderful being able to spend some time together. The kids had a blast playing basketball and going out on the bass boat with their Uncle. We went to FL with Lighthouse Family Retreat (lighthousefamilyretreat.org). It is a retreat for families who have a child fighting cancer. It was an amazing experience and we meet some wonderful people. The kids had activities while the parents had time to go talk about this roller coaster ride that God has chosen us for.We were right on the beach so daddy could take Vance, Domonick, and Corey to the beach while the babies were napping. They had nightly gathering/parties for everyone to have fellowship, play games, and listen to music. Had a parents night out and the kids had a ice cream/movie party. I can not even tell you what all we did. There was so much to do for all ages and volunteers to help with the kiddos. We had family partners that will forever be dear to our hearts. I watched my kiddos just take to them and even now they ask about them. It is amazing the friendships they made there.

We are now back home and I am still homeschooling Corey through the summer between our trips. Keegan takes chemo by mouth daily at home and at the hospital once a month. We go up to the hospital every 2 weeks to pick up chemo but we only see the doctor once a month. His hair is growing in so fast. It is already down on his ears. It is sometimes weird to see him with hair. God is good and continues to do amazing works through Keegan.

The next few big things on our schedule are:
~July 28 our Church is having a 5K in honor of Keegan
~Trip to Texas to visit other side of family
~School starts back up
~Benefit for Keegan August 18 which is also one year remission. PRAISE GOD!!!

I will try to keep things more updated. Thank you all for your continued prayers and support. We could not walk through this with out the power of prayer. God gets all the glory and he continues to carry us through this. There are times I just want to through my hands up and I scream "WHY", but then He calms me and assures me that I am NOT alone. Thank you Lord for never leaving nor forsaking me. I am human and I fall short a lot.

Angels

I love the moments they are sitting beside each other and not fighting. B got this picture of them eatting their chips at the bottom of the stairs.

I am getting to use my memory suite again. I haven't been able to because the charger on our laptop broke.
