Life and emotions

Just needed to vent. And, I thought maybe typing it all would help me get it out.

So, these past few weeks have been rough and have caused a lot of emotions. Michael is now back at work so it is the kids and I. I am trying to get us back into a routine. I have this overwhelming feeling when things do not happen at certain times and are not done a certain way. I feel like things just can not flow properly if there is not a routine. So, needless to say when Mike is home we loss routine and I feel very overwhelmed. I love when he is here and I miss him so very much when he is gone. Just when he get here we are so excited because we have not seen him and I do not do the things I need to do and then I get behind. The kids want to spend time with their daddy and our schedule gets thrown to the way side.

Emotions are a hard thing for me to handle sometimes. I have an overabundance of them at times. I do not even know how to explain the way I feel most of the time. When our routine is out of order my emotions are out of order. Maybe it is more me needing the routine than me thinking the kids need it. I am reading this book called Mommy's Locked in the Bathroom by: Cynthia Sumner. It is surviving your child's early years with your sanity an salvation intact! Has been great for me to read when I am ready to go lock myself up for just a few minutes of quite.
So, with all that said I have been praying a lot seeking help on how to overcome this. I have learned through lots of prayer and searching that I get overwhelmed and still do not seek help. Maybe it is pride or super mom syndrome. I do NOT like to ask people to help do something I feel is my job as a mother. (Sometimes I just need to vent I guess, and I have one certain person I am able to do this with and she does not judge me or my family.)  I have a wonderful church family that is willing to help me at anytime, but I never seem to be able to ask. Our pastors let me know again last night that they are there for anything and that is such a blessing to know they are there even if I don't ask. But, the Word says:

Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
                                                                                                    ~Galatians 6:2

So, maybe this is my wake up call. I just continue to pray for God to lead and direct my path and give me the strength to continue on this path He has laid before me. I also pray that Michael can find work at home and make the money needed to support our family, so he does not have to be gone all the time anymore. Then our kids will have their mom and dad home to go to. (Especially with our boys getting older.)

I just continue to pray that God will give me strength, compassion, and a more forgiving heart.

Crazy weekend

Ok so this weekend was so busy I think it is kind of a blur now. Friday D went and stayed at a friends house, V had a track event, and B had to work. Then boy boy Saturday rolled in.  Saturday I had to get C ready for a soccer game by 9:45am. Praise the Lord for our friends who are in soccer too and were willing to get him there this week since I was over booked. Then at 10am I had to have B at the nail salon to get her nails done for prom. (Because of her job she had to get them done the day of and she had to take it off the next day before work.) Then we had to go to the flower shop to pick up his and her flowers. Ran those home to get them in the fridge. At 11:30am B had a air apt which took 1 1/2 hours but it turned out so beautiful.
We then had to get home, so I could get the babies dressed to head over to her boyfriends for makeup, hair and for M to meet his parents. (Which by the way his mom did an awesome job with her makeup.) She was just beautiful. We stayed there for a while to get pictures once they were both dressed up. We got so many good pictures, but I choose a few to post.

It was so cold outside.

N had to get into the pictures too. He loves his sister.

So, then after all this they were off to prom and we headed to pick C up and go to the church for a BBQ raising money for the private school. We had BBQ and had some time to fellowship. Then we had to get home, b/c I was tired.

Sunday I got the kids up and we went to church. (Mike stayed home b/c he had been up till 6am talking with B's boyfriend.) Then we came home did chores, and rested. M made some BBQ chicken. D and C went skating with the church, B had to work, and V had a basketball practice. So it was daddy, me and the babies for the evening.

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I gotta get busy looking up information for C' school work this week. God bless.

Fruit

Ok, so I am often asked about my grocery shopping with this many kids. So, I thought I would show just the fruit I buy for one week minus the grapes. Since I have done away with most of the sugar/junk in our house fruit gos very quickly. Plus I pack lunches for school and the boys have track so I send lots of fruit for their day.
2 bags apples, 2 bags oranges, 2 bunches bananas, and 2 bags of grapes.

I only shop weekly for fruit, milk, and sometimes bread. I am a coupon shopper and a stock shopper, so I do not have to go often. When I go to the meat market I place a order for 150 pounds or more of meat. This way I do not have to mess with it. I'm blessed that our meat market wraps our meat in the size packages I need.  I am going to be making a coupon trip this week, and I will try to take pictures and show you. (If I remember.) M is home this week so it will make my trip a little easier.

Kite flying

We had a kite flying day with church last Sunday. We did not get to fly kites to long though b/c it was to windy out. We had like 40 mph wind that day, so the kids played on the playground a while before we went home. Didn't stay out there long with K's ears hurting like they have been. The kids had fun though.

V played basketball the whole time we were there and C played with his friends trying to fly kites. K sleep most of the time.

1st soccer game for C

Sorry it has been so long since I have been able to post. Had sick babies and been very busy (K has been so sick. Praying this is under control now.). C had his 1st soccer game last week and they won 6 to 0. They did so good. They also won the game yesterday 4 to 0 and C made 2 goals. Here are some pictures of the game and V playing with the babies at the park after the game.
